Breaking news: It’s orificial: The US cannnot withdrawn brave military personnel from the devil’s anus most people call Iraq without the coming nose to you-know-what with one horrible truth –
It would really bum out the Commander In Chief.

I spent all of Tuesday processing and posting pictures from a busy visual arts weekend. To see more pictures visit my Visual Vibes page at CIVAG — www.civag.com/vv.htm
Monday was spent scanning pictures of airplanes and sending them to authors in West Germany and Georgia. Hard to say which is further away from “America” — especially when you remember what Georgia voters did to Max Clelland.
Too many thinking legal citizens of the United States don’t understand the foundation of the babble which has soiled the spotless integrity of Generals Petraeus and before that General Colin Powell. Here are facts in a nutshell.
The mentality that riddled the political future of Max Clelland with an assault of vitriol and lies began not in 2000; it begain in 1865. That was when the righteous greycoats sworn to dissolution of our nation taught the uppity bearded IllinoisYankee a lesson or two about right living at Ford’s Theater. There was nowhere for the losing side of that war to go but to the Democrats. Until Theodore Roosevelt departed the White House, leaving it to Howard Taft whom he mistakenly beliefed shared his progressive outlook, the Republican Party remained anathema to the defiant South. From that moment, the party that championed equal rights, the environment, national parks became sneering conduit of sore losers’ revenge, whose fingerprints linger on the machinations that assassiated John Kennedy; who set placed Barry Goldwater on the launching pad in 1964. Goldwater (perhaps as close to cerebral as Adlai Stevenson) who voted against they Civil Rights Bill which Democrat President Johnson signed, who brazenly flashed and fizzled in November. The conservatives never looked back after that, though the Dems won here and there.
The same stultified outlook today insists on killing embryos so privileged wives can give birth naturally after in vitro fertilization. Its believers insist global warming is a snooty Al Gore folk tale. Its muscle scourges the truth from the facts about real heroes, including John McCain (when he opposed George Herbert Walker Bush’s son in 2000), Max Clelland and John Kerry. Its pharisees believe that the earth is flat, the sun revolves around the earth and the word of the Pope is inviolate except when it inconveniences Republicans and Cuban exiles living in Miami. Ooookay, I’ll grant you some no longer believe that way about the earth and sun, but their numbers are going up again.
The harsh reality is that the solution to Iraq MUST be delayed until after the 2008 election. Why? Because the current array of Republicans and too many Democrats with backbones of jelly at this point in time (4:55 pm, September 12, 2007) INSIST life has to be this way.
We need to tighten our seat belts and cozy up with our Creator whose names are many, but whose truths are immutable.
It’s going to be a bumpy ride!
Live long . . . . . and proper.

The voters voted Max Clelland out as a result of the same deviant subterfuge that worked magic following the 2000 elections and was as honest as shell game wizard in the 2004 presidential campaign. I can tell from your style that you would never give your wife a present you know was stolen from your neighbor’s jewel box. It’s a shame our nation’s “compassionate conservative” did essentially the same thing and considers it “victory.”
Thanks for reading Honey & Quinine. I will let you be my “comrade” if you will let me be your Ayatollah. DEAL?
Imam so pleased to hear you say that! Thank you!
